Effective health and safety programs require an ongoing approach to manage, develop and implement new initiatives. An active approach allows programs to grow with the Company and promote a incident free workplace.
Cedar Creek Consulting offers qualitative fit testing. Whenever a worker is required to wear a half mask respirator, full face respirator etc. a fit test must be completed on every make, model and size. These must be done annually, at minimum, or whenever a workers physical condition changes that may affect the fit of the respirator.

Site inspections allow employers to identify unsafe acts, conditions in a timely manner, determine corrective actions and prevent unsafe work conditions from developing over time. We will come to site and review the work processes, conditions and develop actions with you to ensure compliance.
Health and safety, productivity and quality can all benefit from written procedures and assessments. Cedar Creek will work with your crews to identify the steps of the work, the risk of that work and adequate controls to keep your workplace and workers safe.
Regular health and safety meetings provide an excellent opportunity to get everyone in your workplace involved in the safety process. It allows workers to communicate with employers regarding training needs, equipment maintenance, workplace hazards or conditions. We will conduct the meeting and discuss relevant topics to your workplace.
A JOHSC is a committee made up of workers and employer representatives who consult in a cooperative spirit to resolve any issues or concerns. As well as being required by WCB when the Company has 20 or more workers. We will work with you to set up meeting templates, support representatives in completing meetings and provide guidence.
Incidents are to be investigated to identify the cause(s) and to recommend steps to prevent similar unsafe conditions. Cedar Creek will support your Company with an un-bias and objective view when completing investigations and identifying root causes of incidents. Documentation templates can be created to suit the work you do and allow for consistency.
Exposure control plans are required whenever workers are potentially exposed to contaminants in excess of 50% of its exposure limits. We will work with you to identify exposures and develop a control plan. We will conduct site visits to review the work processes, environments and determine the appropriate controls. Examples include silica, asbestos, toxic gases etc.
If your Company has received WorkSafeBC orders or citations and you are unsure how to move forward to be compliant. Cedar Creek can work with you to either guide you on what needs to be completed, or work with you to set up the systems to ensure compliance.
The goal of a communicable disease plan is to prevent the spread of communicable diseases by reducing the risk and frequency of coming into contact with infectious agents. We will conduct a review of the workplace, implement controls and work with the Company to ensure compliance.
